While the literal translation is "rented room", I would like to know if the usage is more specific such as a hotel room or apartment. For context, it comes from the Alex Ubago song "Amarrado a Ti"

Puede decir "apartamento" instead of " cuarto de alquiler. Tambien"en nuestro cuarto del hotel." Ex. ¿Sabes cuanto te añore en nuestro cuarto del hotel en la ciudad que siempre huele a mar?
