Quick Homework Question

Alright, so the instructions say: Use these cues and the correct form of estar to write complete sentences. Add any missing words.

Number 9 says: Rita / a la izquierda / Julio

Doesn't Rita a la izquierda Julio make sense? Rita is to the left of Julio? Or is there something I need to add?

I missed a day of Spanish class so I'm behind... Any help would be amazing right now. Thank you.

There's no verb in this sentence. Also, there needs to be a preposition. RIght now, your translation says Rita to the right Julio. I'm pretty sure it needs to be, "Rita está a la izquierda de Julio." My Spanish is a little rusty, so anyone's welcome to chime in if there's a mistake somewhere.

I think you meant "to the left". - fontanero, Sep 29, 2010

Welcome to the forum. We're not supposed to do other people's homework here, but since psyche is a fellow student we'll cut her some slack. She's also right.

Whoops. Sorry. I'll let others do their homework next time :) - psyche_of_frogs, Sep 28, 2010
As the saying goes, we try to teach people to fish, rather than giving them a fish. You learn better if you have to put some work into it. We'd like the newcomers to make a stab at it, then we'll help. No problem - KevinB, Sep 28, 2010
