What are some basic hispanic meals?
I want to know what do most hispanic or mexican people eat. Do they eat meals like most Americans do? ![]()

Pabellón, arepas, empanadas, cachapas, hallacas, plátanos, churrascos, the normal stuff. Preferrably washed down with a cold Polar.
That's Venezuelan food, anyway.
Uh, it depends on the familia, I suppose.
Some of my favorites are:
Carne Asada
Arroz Con Pollo
Tapas
Sopa de Ajo Blanco
jamón serrano (popular in Spain)
Pollo con Ajo y Aceite
Pan con Lubina (optional with or without butter)
Basic meal contains Tortillas, frijoles, arroz, ensaladas, etc. and it is optional to include some meat, chicken or pork. I'm talking about some parts in Mexico and some countries en Central America.
nochos refried beans
I always have chilaquiles that I put refried beans on for breakfast when I am in Mexico, but I am not Hispanic, so I am not sure that I should be answering.

Paella valenciana
Fabada asturiana
Pulpo gallego
In this link you see the most popular meal of Spain.
Nothing that exotic, I suppose: fish, meat, vegetables, rice, bread,... What kind of meals? That depends on the menu of the restaurant or how well people cook in a family. I can cook over 50 different dishes, and there are countless ones I can't cook. Again, the better the cook, the more the variety. "Standard dishes" is a synonym of boring food. Maybe what you need is a recipe book instead of a forum.
