I'm impressed - everyone speaks so many different languages...

I speak only one fluently - English.

I am getting better at Spanish, but definitely not fluent. I am definitely hoping to be fluent one day...

I can say "Hello", "Goodbye" and count to ten in German, French and Japanese...

I heard a joke once...

If you speak more than two languages, then you are multi-lingual. If you speak two languages, then you are bi-lingual If you only speak one language, then you are probably an American.

Unfortunately, this is usually true.

Depends on your definition of speak!

Hello, goodbye, please and thankyou in maybe 15 to 20, with an extra few words in several of them.

Speak only well enough to actually get myself into trouble - 4: Spanish, Japanese, Vietnamese, Mandarin.

Speak well enough to get myself out of trouble - only 2: English and German.

(...and even then only when I remember: When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging!)

= I speak Spanish, English, French and Brazilian Portuguese.

I would like to speak all these languages fluently. I can, already, speak English fluently and believe that my level of Spanish is Intermediate.Normally, I take french lessons with a lady from my church, every sunday, after the service.(meeting)

I would like and need to improve my Portuguese so that I can speak more fluently with my Brazilian girlfriend. tongue wink

In my opinion, the best language in the world is Spanish. I love the sounds of Spanish more than all the languages of the world..Yes even English !hahahaha tongue wink grin
