If you use the dictionary tool (and of course, the search box above) you'll see the diffence:
Cachorro
- pup, puppy (de perro); kitten (de gato); cub (de león, lobo, oso)
Perrito
- A little dog.
Perrito is the closest to the "puppy" in English, while cachorro is more of like saying "baby/young animal".
