Could you at least tell us where did you find that sentence, or what is the topic about? Without a context it could mean many things, and the only one I can think of that makes sense sounds a bit too literary for me (lit. a kind of avenue.)

I encountered this phase in an article describing a species of bird that builds interesting nests:
"El nido está formado por una suerte de avenida construida con pequeñas ramas, y mide cerca de 60 centímetros. La hembra se sienta a la entrada de la avenida y observa el cortejo del macho a través de este túnel"
Well my mind is blown. Suerte can mean kind or way. Never heard it used like that, I have to ask, is that a common use in Mexico Mountaingirl? Does it have to follow with de? How can we recognize this usage? Gracias de antemano ![]()
