Timestamps for threads.
It seems to me that the timestamps on threads (in the index/listing of threads under "Answers") used to reflect the most recent change (or perhaps only responses [ignoring comments]). They now appear to reflect only the time of the original posting. This is, to my mind, a far less useful piece of information.
Addendum:
Maybe it was just coincidence but yesterday (when I was about 5 or 6 pages into the index [in "newest" order]) I noticed that the only time given was the "posted" time. This despite the fact that the second column (on the left) indicated the presence of replies in many/most cases. Today, things seem to be (back to) normal.

After further consideration and a bit of experimentation, I think the problem has to do with my selecting to view the threads ordered by "newest" (rather than by "hot").
Most of the time it works for me too. However, I experienced a recurrence of the phenomenon again, last week. I was looking at page 5 of the index and each thread has "time asked" (although all of them had been answered). I forced a reload of the page but that made no difference. Then I clicked on the "answers" tab which took me back to a refreshed first page and paged through each until I was back at page 5 (which now showed the "answered"/"updated" timestamps). Clearly, there's some sort of glitch in the software that (under some circumstances) causes a page do be displayed with the wrong timestamps. These sorts of transient/non-reproducible bugs are the bane of a programmer's existence. Fortunately, the coincidence of circumstances doesn't seem to happen very often.
Well, let me try this . . .
and, yes, answering the question moved it to the top of the page and updated the time stamp to 29 seconds ago.
So, it does seem to be working OK, at least for answers to the question.
Hmm...that's odd.
I haven't noticed any change in the way threads are updated. The time changes each time the thread is voted up, someone leaves a comment, or someone answers the question.
