What is the difference in the use of "gustar" and "parecer"?

Lol ok. I kind of see what's happening here...
It's because you say me gusta, and me parece...
me gusta = i like it (me it pleases) me parece = it seems (to me it seems)
me gusta is followed with a noun. Something you like, or whatever. me parece is followed with an adjective... or simile. me parece grande, me parece bien, me parece como un.... me parece que...
