What does " Iglesia De Cristo Miel" translate to in English?

It's the name if a church I was reading about and I can't translate it to make sense of it.

I just did some research on the church, and the confusion comes in because the name of it is not technically Miel, but MiEl. It was founded in Miami (the Mi) and branches came out from there. It doesn't have anything to do with honey.

In all fairness to the questioner, many of the branches are not putting the capital E in the middle and are calling the church "Miel". The church has grown, like Willow Creek or Harvest and has many locations. Serves mainly Hispanic community - Echoline, Sep 20, 2010

see miel in this article Also, googling, I think that it makes some reference to Christ's (La Palabra's) resurrection.

I tried translating it intuitively and the name doesn't make a great deal of sense and I put it through the translator here and came out with a similar answer

'Church of Christ's honey' ???

In my dictionary Cristo = Christ or cristo = crucifix unless by implication it could mean the' Church of Sweet Christ'

Are you sure that the name is complete? I would suggest you re -read the article where you first saw the name and at least check and see if you have written out the name in full

I am a Christian and know my bible well and references to (wild) 'honey' and locusts are associated with John the Baptist rather than Jesus himself.

My spanish is not that great so I just shooting in the dark here, could it be "Iglesia De Cristo mi el" Then wouldn't it be more like " The Church of He is my Christ".

Iglesia De Cristo Palabra Miel is also common, which would translate to Church of Christ Word of Honey.

I tried to find it online and saw it translated as "Honey Word Church". I doubt it should be translated - the name is in Spanish.
