Why does he call me mija?

why does this guy I see call me mija and my son mijo I know it is daughter/son but I thought that when it was from a man to a woman that it was like a pet name like baby, honey, or something like that or is it that he just thinks I am a baby?

"mija" is Mi hija or Mi hijo. It is a term of endearment. It is a bit like one might say my baby in English.

Hi WoW, I answered this before by saying try searching 'mija' in the search function - you will get a loooooot of answers and some good explanations. Lovely, he probably is saying 'mija'!
