In a dental clinic, to say, "You have a cavity", one would say

"Tiene una carie"

?

Actually, "carie" isn't the singular form of "caries", at least not in Spain. "Caries" is spelled the same for both singular and plural, so if you want to say "you have a cavity", you have to go with: "tiene una caries", and for more than one "tiene varias caries".

You can also just use "la cavidad"
