What is the difference between the two?

Clima is a masculine word and as such takes el not la

eg: el clima político//intelectual/ artístico = the political / intelectual/artistical climate

Lazurus is correct too when he says:

Unless it is the name of a place or other proper name, "la clima" appears to be just a mistake.

The difference is that the former is the correct gender of the definite article, whereas the latter isn't wink
