"a la Candela"
There's a party song by Frankie Vazquez where he interjects "a la candela!" between lyrics. Can candela mean "party" or something like that?
1 Answer
candela means flame (of a candle), so anything related to heat (passion, partying, infatuation) may be related to that expression.
However, "Dar candela a alguien", in general, is to beat someone.
