I am not receiving a verification email.

Question

I signed up a couple of hours ago and have clicked the resend verification email button a number of times however i have not received one. I know that i typed in the right email address because to make sure i used the "forgot password" button to have a new password sent to my email address. Is there anything i can do apart from making a new account?

Have you checked your Spam folder? I find verification emails often get put there.

Don't be confused by the "joined" date, it hasn't worked correctly since I joined one year ago Just enjoy the site and the forum for now as you obviously can logon OK. Those who can help you are probably sound asleep (approximately 4AM in Spain and England right now) and someone will get back to you later.

I looked at your profile and saw this:

"AwsmAdm joined SpanishDict (Nov 30, 1999)"

Which confuses me. Maybe this has somethign to do with the problem? Need an admin.

What kind of E-mail are you using ( Hotmail '' windows life messenger '', Yahoo , G-mail , ....)

Thanks, it still says that I have not verified my account on my profile but I am no longer having trouble accessing anything on the site. Thanks to all of you for the overwhelmingly positive and helpful responses you guys have offered on both of the questions I've asked.

Hi, I received a note about your dilemma, and what leaves me confused is how you can post without a verication email. I'm probably missing something here, but if you can post then you are OK, are you not? Are there areas of the site that you cannot access? If so, contact either Heidita, Eddy or Marianne; they are the administrators in charge of general forum issues. Heidita and Eddy are on European time, but Marianne is on eastern time US.

I am hopeful that you can get this straightened out quickly; we are happy to see you here on the forum, and hope that you can access what you want.
