There doesn't seem to be a verb that just means to taste, so how do I say "I can still taste it"?

"saborear" - "to taste" in the sense of a taste lingering in the mouth.

"probar" - "to taste" in the sense of taking a taste of something.

"Todavía puedo saborearlo" - I can still taste it - the taste is still in my mouth.

There's even more.

"Degustar" - "to taste", implies that you are going to taste new, unknown food or drinks -especially alcoholic beverages- or a food/drink of a certain quality -like lobster or filet mignon, not a big mac with french fries- that you already know, but that you enjoy a lot.

Tengo un mal sabor en la boca las mañanas cuando despierto. Is this the right way to say I have a bad taste in my mouth when I wake up in the mornings?
