Población de paso

Question

What does Población de paso mean?

link

Answer 1

That is, indeed, funny. It's why so many times our answers include the phrase "depends on the context". Población de paso by itself refers to transient people. Búsqueda de horarios por linea o población de paso means search for schedules by line (number) or by neighborhood (through which the bus passes).

Población can mean population, or a place where people live (city, neighborhood, etc.).

Answer 2

Oh! A funny misunderstanding! then it is much easier. It refers to a locality for which the bus passes through. A city located on the route, in the path of the public transport. Maybe the bus stop there.

Answer 3

Ok, but what does it have to do with Búsqueda de horarios, take a look at the link.

Answer 4

Transient population, people who reside temporarily in a city, whether for work, holidays, studies... It's said "Población flotante" too.
