boyfriend-hood?
I heard this word the other day that was basically equal to "boyfriend-hood" or "boyfriend/girlfriend relationship". I understood it in context but now can't recall what it was. It went something like this: Espero que nuestro novi----- dure mucho tiempo.
It was someone from Central America-specifically Honduras. Which might help because it's probably some sort of jerga o modismo.
Anybody familiar with it?

Might it be noviazgo? It means 'relationship' or 'engagement'. Kind of like novio means both 'boyfriend' and 'fiancé'.
Noviazgo! That's it! Thanks
Aside:
We had a thread earlier that used the term amigovio (slang-not a real word) which is a combination of amigo and novio. Friends with benefits as we say in the US.

McFadden nailed it wiht noviazgo, meaning "engagement," or perhaps, "dating relationship."
I think this should be "Boyhood Friend".
