The English "look up to ..." is an idomatic phrase, which I think CamposCJ refers to. I don't see it in the phrasebook.

"I am a role model for my little brother, who looks up to me regarding many matters."

Can anybody express this in Spanish?

I think that they looked up to me means:

Ellos alzaron sus miradas hacia mì

Buscar is to look smn/ smthg up.

also, look up to admirar, respetar, tener una buena opinión de, tener en mucho a alguien.
