Hi Guys Well yes my birthday was on the 6th. It was great to see that I was remembered. That cheered me up. I am in the Bolivian Amazon near a town called Trinidad.

Unfortunately since arriving several days ago I have been in a military hospital twice with a high fever and chest infection. A few injections later I am feeling a lot better.

I am here because I am Godfather to a little girl, Astrid, who had her 1st birthday on the 5th of September. Age wise I am old enough to be her Great-grandfather. (you can all now guess how old that is but it is a State secret) I hope Astrid´s life will be as interesting as mine has been.

On Sunday Astrid had a party for about 60 kids and almost the same number of mums and dads. Unbelievable!!!!! This is being sent from an internet Cafe. A bit slow but better than nothing.
