if you have to write a word in imperfect or preterite, what do you change only the verbs that are ar, er and ir or do you change all the ar, er, ir words and it don't matter if there a verb or a noun or what?

Nouns don't change for tense. A chair is a chair now. It was a chair yesterday. It will be a chair tomorrow. Just as in any Indo-European language, only verbs change to reflect time (or tense). In Spanish, nouns change to reflect singular or plural. In some cases, they also change for masculine or feminine (el doctor, los doctores, la doctora, las doctoras).

I hope that helps. The question about a noun changing for tenses if completely foreign to most English and Spanish speakers. I don't know if any language shows changes for tense in nouns.

ok so what my question is, is that if you are trying to change a word to imperfect or preterit, can you or do you change a noun like dolar to a imperfect or do you just leave it like that?

First of all, you need to hit "edit" and change your post so that it is using proper capitalization/spelling. That is mandatory on this site. Secondly, your question makes no sense. Rephrase it in a more comprehensive way.

I don't really understand the question, sorry. Care to explain using different words? Imperfect and preterite are verb tenses, so they only apply to verbs, not nouns.
