querer es poder - is this a real proverb?

can I use "querer es poder" as an inspirational quote, say, in a classroom? Or does it sound wrong to spanish ears?

Where's there's a will there's a way = Querer es poder

I've heard that hundreds of times in my life (in Spain), if that helps.

I was thinking about an equivalent sort of phrase that would be seen in English-speaking classrooms: "If you can dream it you can achieve it". A student in a Spanish speaking country would see "querer es poder" and think along the lines of that English translation.
