If you look under sol in our dictionary it can mean an angel/darling. So I would say "an angel/darling of a woman" or something figurative, rather than anything too literal.

Using a bilingual dictionary is OK for beginners, but if you want to truly become fluent in a language, you shouldn't translate, and use only monolingual dictionaries. I haven't used a bilingual dictionary for a long time myself, and the only drawback is that sometimes you have no idea about how to translate a word into your mother tongue, because you have learnt those English words the way you learnt all your words into your mother tongue: intuitively.

Besides, the dictionary on this page makes an important omission when it translates this meaning of "sol": it is an idiom that normally requires "ser". If you check a monolingual dictionary, you'll see this:

ser un sol. locución verbal coloquial usada para ponderar afectuosamente las cualidades de una persona y, a veces, de un animal o de una cosa.

Real Academia Española © Todos los derechos reservados

The definition is very technical and you may not know all the words used, but you are learning even more by checking those.

If you want "exact" you have to provide exact context.
