Does anyone have this course?

http://f.generallinguistics.com/spanish/

I'm on the verge of buying it and I wanna hear some objective reviews on whether it really is as good as it seems to be.

The only complaints I've ever heard about it were people saying that it was a little rude. (It's not for kids!)

There's a good few examples of it on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/buenoentonces

It's the Michel Thomas type thing where you listen to a recording of a learner of Spanish being taught and learn along with them, the difference is instead of being very serious and taking two painfully nervous people they took this guy who's a professional actor or comedian or something.. and the whole thing is just hilarious.

It claims to get you to B1 level. Which would make me feliz yanno?

(yanno = slang for "do you know?")

It's 110 euro for 30 x 35 minutes classes.. which if my math isn't pure crap is 6 euro per class.. which is less than i'd pay for a real life course. But the thing is I'm not gonna have an opportunity to take a real life course.

I've already got a bunch of audio-lingual books and tapes on Spanish, but this is so tempting.. I'm addicted to buying language learning materials.. when I was learning Czech I bought (as far as I know) literally every single book for learning Czech available. (fortunately there aren't many!)

Anyway does anyone have it? Has anyone finished it? Does it do what it promises?

OH! Crap is a bit rude but not really and slang for fecal matter/poo. So as an adjective it means bad! - rabbitwho, Sep 4, 2010

I bought it in the end. So far I really like it. I'll reserve judgment till I'm another week in. But I will say this: I wouldn't compare it to another self teaching resource. I'd compare it with going to a real life immersion Spanish class. Which is something it will be ages before I have a chance to do.

I am really enjoying the entertainment aspect of it, but like a cartoon in Spanish it is only good improving listening comprehension if you already know thousands of vocabulary words. How did your experience turn out? - Nosaji, Nov 12, 2013

Guess what? 110 € / 30 class = 3.67 € / class
