Flashcard sound: "e" sounds like "i"?

I have now finished 8 conjugations of some verbs and one of the last ones I did was "poner". When the word "pone" flashes, it sounds like "pony" and I am pretty sure this is not correct. Is there a way to fix this? The other verbs sound very good and I love to listen to "construir" but you have to make sure you uncheck the random box or you miss the rhythm of each tense.

A point of interest for those wishing to listen to spoken spanish is to go to the following site http://radiotime.com/Index.aspx and tune in to radio station KTNQ - 1020 AM. This is a talk radio station and most of the time it is slow enough to catch the conversation and learn. They also have "Red Radio Universidad de Guadalajara (XHUG - 104.3 FM) another talk station.

ciao

Hi Fox, thanks for the tip - unfortunately it says 'no disponible' for outside the US. Rats!

Thanks, Fox, for the referral to the radio station KTNQ - 1020 AM...it's great!

As for the flashcard sound, I'm not sure that can be fixed because it's a computer voice that reads the flashcards aloud.
