Hi, Jenny.

I'm sorry, but I'm not following your question...are you asking about 2 different verbs?

"abarcar" means "to undertake" or "to take on something" (like a task or a challenge). and "acabar" means "to finish" or "to complete". "Acabar de + infinitive" means "to have just done something".

I apologize if I didn't understand your question.

Good catch. It's actually spelled 3 different ways - abacar, abarcar, and acabar. Funny the conclusions you jump to. - KevinB, Sep 3, 2010
Sorry Kevin I dint' find "abacar". What does that mean? - LoaEtayo, Sep 4, 2010
It's in the title. It doesn't mean anything, as far as I know. My mind read it as "acabar" the first time. - KevinB, Sep 4, 2010

Acabar de + infinitive = to have finished something, or to have just done something

Acabo de escribir una carta = I just wrote a letter
