I pause frequently to take notes and now this option is unavailable. Is anyone else having this problem? I'm so frustrated.

I can still see it. It's normally hidden when the video is playing, but if you mouse over the lower part of the video the controls reappear.

that's how it used to be. That's not what's happening with the videos I'm watching now. - rabbitwho, Sep 3, 2010
Weird. It's working for me on multiple computers with Firefox and Internet Explorer. Maybe you need to update your Flash driver? - KevinB, Sep 4, 2010

May I suggest that you download the videos and save them on your hard-drive?

You can do this if, for example, you install RealPlayer on your PC.

Then when you start the video "right" click on it and you will have the option to "download" to RealPlayer.

You can then watch the videos off-line anytime you like and "pause" when you need to. RealPlayer is a free download. Just "Google" it.

Hope this helps.

Hey thanks for the suggestion... - JordanYong, Sep 3, 2010
Have you tried it on the new videos? Normally what I do is I copy the videos out of my /tmp/ folder which is where they're put while streaming, but that doesn't work with these. - rabbitwho, Sep 3, 2010
No I have not - I have all the original videos - without any advertising. - ian-hill, Sep 3, 2010

I can't pause in section 1.11 as well. Kinda annoying as I needed to pause it to check the cake in the oven.

I was just getting ready to ask this same question. I was watching Lesson 2.6 and I wanted to pause the video to take notes; especially when Paralee said to grab your pens and paper!! Wow from the comments others are having problems, too. I appreciated hearing others are frustrated.

I can't use these videos if i can't pause, I'm sure a lot of people feel this way, this is very upsetting.

Hopefully it was unintentional and it will be fixed.

It looks like they've changed the video player.

Can't pause.

Can't go full-screen either.

Yay. It seems to be fixed now. Must've just been temporary.

Just hover your mouse over the lower portion of the video screen and the progress bar (with the pause button) will display. - remcleaney, Sep 4, 2010
