Matching game #3: Practice writing sentences
Goals of the Matching Game #3: Use of gender, definite and indefinite articles, and identifying the proper Spanish word from a list of mixed up Spanish words that the previous player will create.
The Matching Game rules. Please read all the rules carefully! Have fun!
Match the Spanish word to the English word.
Create a new list of 5 English words and 5 matching Spanish words for the
next player.
The Spanish word list must match in gender and number to the noun they
precede.
You may post a photo if you would like to.
Reminder: Check your answers and spelling before you post!
Example:
Old word list:
an apple, pizza, watermelon, orange juice, milk
la sandía, la leche, la pizza, el jugo de naranja, la manzana
apple - una manzana
pizza - la pizza
watermelon - la sandía
orange juice - el jugo de naranja
milk - la leche
New word list:
soap, sponge, bathtub, hair, arm
la bañera, el jabón, el pelo, la esponja, el brazo

Sentences:
Encontraron el cadáver en la bañera junto con la radio. - They found the body in the bathtub with the radio.
¿Cómo es posible que el jabón sea sucio? - How is it possible that the soap is dirty?
El pelo corto es preferible a lo largo. - Short hair is preferable to long (hair).
¡Caray! ¡La esponja se calló en el retrete! - Oh! The sponge fell in the toilet!
Tiene un tatuaje en el brazo surdo. - He has a tatoo on his left arm.
