What is "party pooper" in Spanish?

I saw one translation that says "aguafiestas". Is this the most commonly used term for "party pooper"?

If it is, does it always have an "s" at the end, even when singular?

i.e. If I wanted to say "He is the party pooper", would I say "(él) es la aguafiestas"?

Gracias smile

You wrote "(él) es la aguafiestas". If you are talking about a boy, él es EL aguafiestas ^.^ - LoaEtayo, Sep 2, 2010

Es un/una aguafiestas.

It has an "s" because it "ruins" all parties ("aguar" here means "to ruin" or "spoil", a metaphor used because when it rains, a lot of outdoors events get marred. It is a standard usage of the word, though)
