Simple: read something in Spanish that interests you, or even better, that interests you a lot. Try to guess the meaning of full sentences, and after trying your best, check up individual words if needed. It is very important that you try to guess the meaning of as many words as possible through context, because eventually you'll be learning the meaning of most words like that -that's how you learned English after all, and not with a dictionary. The context will give you priceless clues about plausible interpretations, and even more important: where and when to use those words... in sentences. With each sentence you will be learning many words along the way without even realising (which is how you learn the fastest). Go back to those sentences afterwards and repeat the process until you can read them with ease and WITHOUT translating into English. You won't become fluent until you stop translating.
Start with curiosity. Follow it up with a decision to spend a little time each day learning new words.
