Pero, ¿no decías que no sabías nadar?

Pero, ¿no decías que no sabías nadar?

This was used after someone that said he couldn't swim jumped in the water, and they yelled out Pero, ¿no decías que no sabías nada?. Seems like (sobre nadar) was just an afterthought and like you can say this and mean (sobre whatever you were talking about earlier) is this right? If so it would be very useful. Gracias.

Perhaps, but I've never heard that. (Of course, that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.) Now, I didn't hear it, but my first thought would be that maybe he said, "Pero, ¿no decías que no sabías nadar?" with an 'R'. As in, "But weren't you just saying that you didn't know how to swim?"
