Here is my sentence in English. "She was attracted to his personality but repulsed by his appearance (looks)." The best the machine translation cane come up with is, "Ella se sintió atraído por su personalidad, pero rechazado por su apariencia." To me, "rechazado" conveys the idea of being rejected - not what I want to express here. Can I use "repulsado"?

Watch out for the genre of the words. "Ella se sintió atraída por su personalidad, pero repulsada por su aparencia".

"Repulsar" is a verb which is used very rarely in Spain, especially in a sentence like this. Other alternatives are "repugnado por" (disgusted, revolted), "asqueado por",
