Word Chain Game

Question

Let's create a word chain. Here's how it works:

First we start with a word. Let's make it "palabra."

To play the game, the next person has to write a word starting with the last two letters of the preceeding word, so after palabra, we can have rancho.

The next person would have to make a word beginning with ho, and so on.

Rules

Check the newest response before posting the next word in the chain.

Try not to have words that end in two vowels.

Accent marks don't have to be in the new word. Sofá could be followed by farol.
