Hi Shelley and welcome to the forum! íBienvenida al foro! Do you want to know how to say, "What is your phone number?". We have a translator bar on the top row. Try writing "What is your phone numbe?" on it and see what you get. Then share it with us and we will see if we agree.

Are you guys getting the sneaking feeling that the kids are returning to school and that we have a whole new group of tech-savvy, but homework-averse Spanish I students?

Yes I am and I am remembering the thing about teaching a person to fish versus giving them the fish! - margaretbl, Aug 30, 2010

Hi, Shelly. Welcome to the forum.

Although the girls are correct in saying that we don't give out phone numbers here, I thought that maybe you'd like a Spanish translation of that phrase instead.

"¿Cuál es tu número de teléfono?" (informal)

"¿Cuál es su número de teléfono?" (formal)

Perhaps a moment's thought might have led you to the conclusion that the member was looking for a translation. The first part of your comment was somewhat rude. - padraigcostello, Aug 30, 2010
Hi Padra, do you think so? Sometimes people get a bit tired of giving out translations without a please or thankyou - margaretbl, Aug 30, 2010
The moon! How cool! - sanlee, Aug 30, 2010
Hi padra , I didn't meant to be rude if I wanted to be rude I wouldn't have used the word ''sorry'' or ''welcome..'' ! it's just like margaretbl said ! - 00b6f46c, Aug 30, 2010
