"Espero que así sea" is correct, and so is "Espero que así sea", depending on you want more focus on how things are (sea) or the way the are (así).

How does "Espero que así sea." differ from "Espero que sí"? Gracias.

Not a big difference. Pretty much the same as "I hope so" and "I hope it is like that" in English: different ways of expressing a similar idea.

So "Espero que así sea." does mean "I hope it is like that", but can mean I hope so? Gracias. - jeezzle, Aug 30, 2010
I think for one of those you might have meant to put, "Espero que sea así." - Izanoni1, Aug 30, 2010

You can also say "'Ojalá" (I wish or I hope)

That says: "I hope so." To say, I hope that's the case, would be "Espero que ese es el caso." wink
