It is an attachment. "Adjuntar" means to attach (or enclose).

This is a great example of a false cognate - "archive" in English refers to stored files that are rarely accessed, either physical paper records or computer files. In Spanish, in the context of computing, it simply means "file." I would have been confused by this, too. Your question made me look it up!
