what is the difference between perdon and con permisso?

they mean the same thing , but how do you use them?

First of all, it is permiso, not "permisso". In Spanish we pronounce the S twice if it is written twice.

"Perdón" is more apologetic, whereas "con permiso" you are making your way through before annoying anyone. In Spanish we have the annoying habit of pronouncing twice a letter that is written twice, unlike English. So names like "Anna" would be read as "An-... -na", with the N pronounced twice. Weird stuff, uh?

If you are about to do something rude (like leave a conversation)- "excuse me" or "con permiso" sorry that i commented and answered, i am new to this site and i thought that if you commented it would appear as an answer.

"con permiso" can be thought of as "if you will allow me".

here is an example conversation: you see your friend speaking with someone, and you need to tell them some news in private immediately. in order to get their attention and interrupt politely you would say "perdon" and then once you have their attention "tengo que hablar contigo, es muy importante que hablamos ahora" (i gotta talk to you, it's really important that we talk now). Your friend will see that they need to speak with you, and will say to the person they were talking to "tengo que hablar con mi amigo, con permiso" (i gotta talk with my friend, excuse me/ if you will allow me). hopefully their friend will say something along the lines of "por supuesto, está bien" (of course, it's okay) and excuse the interruption.

I have heard them all used interchangeably although there are situations where one is better. Con permiso is like, getting up from a table, or getting up to leave. Though I have heard it when walking in on someone. The top three are general use, bumping into someone etc...
