Tostador VS Tostadora

Can I use either of these words for toaster (used to toast bread and bagels)? Are they interchangeable, that is, are both correct to use or is one preferred over the other? Please help!!
I bought a new toaster. Compré un nuevo tostador. He comprado una tostadora nueva.

This is why there are two:
El tostador
La (máquina) tostadora
El cortador
La (máquina) cortadora
