Everyone loves dogs so put a picture of a dog (your dog) in your answer and tell us about it.

Photobucket

The Australian Shepherd, despite is name, was actually developed in the United States. American ranchers raised and bred the dogs as livestock herders and farm workers.

El "Pastor Australiano", es a pesar de su nombre, fue desarrollado en los Estados Unidos. rancheros americanos criados los perros como pastores de ganado y los trabajadores agrícolas.

PS There is no need to maintain alphabetical order. - This is just for fun and to practice Spanish or English.

Wiley went to dog heaven on July 20, 2010. She was the most amazing dog and I don't think I will ever stop missing her.

Is that an American Eskimo dog, Vaanz? My sister has one that looks the same. It is a one person dog. - Brynleigh, Aug 29, 2010

Interesing. It sure does have the look of a Pom. The first white one I ever saw. Maybe I will adopt her as Mini Me - nizhoni1, Aug 29, 2010

I am just going to give a quick answer. I am a great pyrenees, originated in France to protect sheep. I will protect about anything though.I have heard of a a lost cousing protecting the chickens in a coop he found. I share my space with a Maremma (Italian guardian dog), an Akbash and an Anatolian shepherd (Turkish guardians). My Turkish buddies are a lot tougher than me and look more like sighthound .

There is also a Corgi here. The Queen of England has almost 20 of them. They herd cattle.

Do not forget the mixed Rottweiler/Swiss Mountain dog. These dogs pulled carts on farms and were probably a lot easier for the average farmer to afford than a horse.

Un Afgano Sorry Ian, please let me repeat A. I just got back from an outing with my Spanish Group and we were in a park walking past the caretaker's house and a dog exactly like this one ran along barking at us. ¡Estuve asombrada! I have never seen one before so was quite taken with it.

Collie hace referencia a muchas razas de perro, que tienen como origen Escocia.

They hail from Scotland, but they're everywhere, they're everywhere!
