Jonathan is a Hebrew name. In Hebrew is Yonatan, and a shorter version with the same meaning is Nathan (Hebrew: Natan). There is someone in my spanish class named Jonathan. The spanish teacher calls him Yonatan. He also calls this girl named Joanna "Yoana".

I'll go for Jonatán, just could someone tell what the n with the mark over it does to the pronunciation. It's not an ñ, which I learned as an nyeh .
