How is "shredded" translated in Spanish?
The context is "shredded cheese". I know queso is cheese, but I'm not finding a translation for shredded. Thank you!

Efectivamente "Queso rallado"

The package of shredded low-moisture part-skim mozzarella cheese I saw today in the store had this Spanish label:
Queso mozzarrella en hebras semidescremado con bajo contenid de humedad
Once you strip off the part about low moisture and part skim what you have left is
queso mozzarella en hebras
So I think shredded cheese would be
queso en hebras
literally translated
cheese in strings or cheese in threads
So, that's what I learned from my trip to grocery store today. Maybe it will help.
For me, shredded cheese is as stated above queso rallado. For breakfast, I've ordered "papas ralladas" for hashbrowns. Although the potato comes shredded, not grated.
I have heard, and used, the term deshebrada when referring to meat that has been shredded. As in pulled pork or shredded beef for bar-b-que.
My wife (mexicana) makes tacos de carne deshebrada con salsa.
Interesting question.
I think it's queso rallado
rallado mean grated .i think shredded has no meaning in spanish.i am sorry
