Does trademark need to be indicated in Spanish?

Question

I know in English a trademark is designated by at least two different symbols:TM and ®.

In informal Spanish does the trademark sign need to appear in written documents? We generally don't use the trademark symbol in English. So I am guessing in informal Spanish we do not need to worry about the symbol?

In formal documents or in a formal setting is the trademark symbol used? If so, what symbols does Spanish use? The same TM and ®?

Essentially same as in English. The use of the Trademark and Copyright symbols is pretty much ruled by international law, so it should be about the same everywhere. I'm not sure about the use of TM in Spanish, though. ® definitely yes (Marca Registrada).

A registered trademark is specific to a name or image and therefore wouldn't be translated. While there are names of products that we use as general terms, such as "Kleenex," that could be translated, you wouldn't translate it if you are speaking about the brand specifically.

We do use the trademark symbol in English, when a name or product is a registered trademark.

There are three different types of trademarks:

™ (an unregistered trademark, that is, a mark used to promote or brand goods) ? (for an unregistered service mark, that is, a mark used to promote or brand services) ® (for a registered trademark)
