"Hola, Sr. Gomez." Ud. or Tu??

Trying to understand which one to cirlce Ud. or Tu to indicate how you would address the person being spoken to.

1. "Hola, Dr. Gomez" Is it Ud. or Tu?

Welcome to the forum.

If you're addressing them as señor or doctor so-and-so that's pretty formal, so you should use usted.

Tú is more for people you'd call by their first name.

You tell me, why would you use usted? Does Dr. Gomez fit that definition? The same for tu, do you feel that it's appropriate for you to address Dr. Gomez as 'Tu'?
