What is the difference between dejar and quedar in the spanish language? When we use them ? Please give me an example.

"Dejar" has to do with leaving an item or person to remain in a location. "Quedar" has to do with you yourself remaining in a location.
dejar: to leave, to forget, leave out, abandon, forsake, to lend,to give up, put down, set down, drop. quedar; to stay, remain,
I am going to greatly simplify what I know about these verbs which have many different meanings depending upon usage. I am going to focus on the meaning that centers on stopping something.
"Dejar de" is to stop doing something.
Dejar de hacer la cama. To stop making the bed.
Quedar has two main meanings.
To stay at home. Me quedo en casa. You are not really doing anything. You are staying put.
However, if you see the word used with other people, don't be confused. It means you are not staying home..but getting together with friends.
Go figure.
Maybe this was over my head. I'll let someone else try.
