What is the difference between por and para?

Studying sentence construction has been soooo helpful and there is currently a game using por and para in sentences which would benefit you a lot. There is another game which I am not advanced enough to participate using the preterite and the imperfect and after studying a lot of the sentences I have learned a lot. Knowing the rules is great but it is how you use them which adds a lot to your knowledge base.

Its also a distinction that is not limited to Spanish. whenever i dont know whether to say para or por, i say the sentence in my native polish, and immediately know which one to choose.
