Yet another vocabulary question... the word "broncíneos"

Again, I searched the dictionaries, and I found nothing.

Insensibles al tórrido sol, los broncíneos cuerpos sudorosos, apenas cubiertos por unos mugrientos pantalones remangados a los muslos, ...

It is from the same book, Doña Bárbara.

Thanks again for your time! I feel like I will be needing a lot of help if I cannot find these words in the dictionary... :(

Does it have something to do with "tanned"?

Hola:

Viene de la palabra "bronce" = "bronze". En este caso quiere decir los cuerpos bronceados = tanned.

Hope this helps.

No problem... Me encantan las palabras. - LuisaGomezBartle, Aug 24, 2010
No la encontraste por que está en plural, si la buscas sin la "s" la encuentras. - LuisaGomezBartle, Aug 24, 2010
I tried that too... :( - NikkiLR, Aug 24, 2010
Ni idea, pero estoy segura de que eso es... He oído cosas buenas de ese libro, que lo disfrutes. - LuisaGomezBartle, Aug 24, 2010
Thanks ... I hope I will, but the vocabulary is quite hard for me... I am hanging in there though. - NikkiLR, Aug 24, 2010

Broncíneo/nea: adj. De color semejante al del bronce.

Bronce: m. noun. Bronze

Broncearse: vb. To "bronze" oneself in the sun.
