Do any of the grammar lessons discuss the use of the imperfect subjunctive of haber with the past participle? For example Yo hubiera ido ( I should have gone).

"Yo hubiera ido" is not the imperfect subjunctive of "haber", but the pluperfect subjunctive or "ir", because this tense is used differently from the imperfect subjunctive (of course, "hubiera", on its own, is the imperfect subjunctive). A starting point could be the improbable/unreal conditional sentences in the past

Si hubieras venido te lo habrías pasado muy bien.

Si hubiera sabido lo que querías, te habría ayudado.
