The two so words that are used mostly in normal conversation, if I get your meaning here, are "así que" and "tan". Así by itself means "like this, like that".

Soy tan guapo, así que vota por mí. I am so handsome so vote for me.

If someone asks "how do you do it" and you say "like so", that would loosely mean "like this" or "como así"

If you say "something is so ugly", that is a different "so" than "like so". In this case it works like an augmentative, which is what "tan" does, in this case "algo es tan fea".
