Indeed. Lazarus is right. And it means "to strengthen".

Welcome to the forum. Ordinarily I'd suggest using our dictionary, but think fortaleser is misspelled, since that's not a Spanish word. If it were fortaleza it would mean strength. The ending of the phrase, ...in the system, implies that it should be a noun.
