Two questions regarding bedroom articles....

Question

I looked up 'ensuite' bathroom and came up with 'ensuite' and 'cuarto de baño del ensuite'.

I also looked up 'footboard' and came up with 'footboard' and 'pie de la cama', which, to me, is not the same thing.

Could a native Spanish speaker please clarify this for me? Thank you!

To me "a room with an en suite bathroom" in Spanish is "una habitación /un cuarto con baño conjunto".

Regarding footboard, if you refer to the vertical piece across the foot of a bed, in Spanish is indeed called "pie de la cama", as opposed to "cabecera", which is the bedhead.

Hi lise, interesting question, I have consulted this question and this is a word seldom used whereas cabecero is all the time.

We would say: pies de la cama (we normally use the plural form)

Pie de cama is a small carpet here in Spain. Or this:

For the bathroom part I have no special answer, we say bathroom.

Baño, cuarto de baño etc.

If you book a hotel room , it is always: habitación con baño completo. This means the room has a private bathroom which you access from the room.
