or even, just "....a lo británico"

P.S. I assume that you're talking about something other than food/cuisine. No sane person would want food "....a lo británico".

La cocina casera

'My British Beans'

La Receta

5 strips cooked bacon (chopped)

1/4 cup chili sauce

1/2 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons molasses

3 tablespoons brown sugar

I/2 teaspoon dry mustard

1 teaspoon onion powder if desired

3 cans beans (you can use pork and beans) They are made from white beans not soy beans or kidney beans. My gram soaked white beans overnight but I am told canned pork and beans are just as good in this recipe.

Mix everything together. Put in a bean pot and bake in oven at 300 degrees for 2 hours.

This is a first for me; posting a recipe on Spanishdict . I think this recipe must be British because it came from my British gramma. At any rate, it is very easy and everyone asks me to take them to their picnics. I personally have not tasted them because I hate beans! ( Add peppers and corn if desired)

Julian's answer is right top onwink

I just wanted to mention that this is actually a good question as here in Spain, the way to cook beans with sweet tomatoe juice is impossible to find, unless you are in a good international hotel, there they often serve this for breakfast.
